• GLL buys Sweco’s Finnish HQ from Sponda

    Finland German fund manager, GLL Real Estate Partners, on behalf of its fund GLL  Pan European Property Fund has acquired the Finnish headquarters of engineering giant Sweco. The 20,000 sq.m. property was sold by Blackstone owned Sponda, for an undisclosed price.

  • DWS acquires Finnish resi portfolio

    Finland Deutsche Bank asset management arm DWS has acquired a residential property portfolio of 542 apartments from Finnish construction group Lehto. The six properties located in different growth markets will be completed in 2019 and 2020.

  • Hemfosa acquires properties for SEK 575 million

    Finland In a series of acquisitions made in the past few months and announced on April 29th, Hemfosa has acquired properties in Finland, Norway and Sweden for a total underlying value of SEK 575 million. The properties have a total annual rental income of SEK 42 million.

  • SBB invests EUR 142 million in Finland

    Finland SBB has agreed to acquire a portfolio of 48 senior living properties, pre-schools and care properties in Finland. The transaction amounts to EUR 142 million and the seller is a fund managed by eQ.

  • NREP sells stake in Finnish portfolio

    Finland Finnish investment company Pontos has acquired a NREP’s stake in the fund NREP C1 for an undisclosed amount. Thus, Pontos takes full ownership of the portfolio which consists of ten logistic, warehouse and retail properties across Finland.

  • Tenhola to succeed Juhani Reen at Newsec Finland

    Finland Mikko Tenhola has been appointed Head of Newsec Advisory Finland. He will succeed Juhani Reen who retires at the end the year. Tenholas has been at Newsec since 2009 and deputy head since 2017.

  • Areim acquires office building from GE Healthcare

    Finland Areim has acquired an office property in the Vallila district in Helsinki from GE Healthcare Finland for an undisclosed amount. The property has a leasable floor area of 15,000 sq.m.

  • German fund makes second Finnish acquisition

    Finland German fund manager Quadoro Doric has acquired an CBD located office property in Turku, Finland. The property is known as The Marble and has an LFA of 10,180 sq.m.

  • KTI: Total returns in Finland 6.6%

    Finland When Finnish market data outlet KTI summarises 2018 it finds that the Finnish property investment market yielded a total return of 6.6 per cent with residentials being the best performing segment.

  • URW sells Jumbo stake for EUR 249 million

    Finland In a EUR 249 million transaction, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has sold its stake 34 per cent stake in the Jumbo shopping centre in Helsinki to its previous co-owner Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company.

    Finland German fund manager Quadoro Doric Real Estate has acquired the multi-use CBD property Diana, located on Yrjönkatu 16 in Helsinki.

    Finland On March 4th, Sverker Källgården will join Cibus Nordic Real Estate as CEO. He is a veteran of the Swedish property industry, most recently as CEO of Byggpartner, the company writes in a press release.

  • Schroders swoops Helsinki CBD office building

    Finland Schroder Real Estate, on behalf of its fund Schroder Nordic Real Estate Fund, has acquired the property A1, an office building located near the Helsinki central station in the heart of the city. The seller is Genesta Nordic Real Estate Fund II.

  • Patrizia sells EUR 41 million office building in Helsinki

    Finland Patrizia Immobilien has sold an office building in central Helsinki for EUR 41 million. The property, located at Itämerenkatu 5 in the Ruohalahti district, was sold to Finnish special investment fund eQ Finnish Real Estate.

  • Inward investment 65 per cent of Finnish volumes in 2018

    Finland Transaction volumes in the Finnish property market in 2018 amounted to EUR 9.2 billion which is the second ever best year, according to a new report from Datscha. Compared to the record year, 2017, volumes dropped by 11 per cent, from EUR 10.5 billion.

  • Hemfosa targets SEK 50 billion

    Finland Hemfosa plans to expand its portfolio from just over SEK 35 billion to SEK 50 billion in the coming five years. In order to reach the targeted size, the company will both acquire properties, e.g. in Finland, and increase the number of development projects, Hemfosa revealed on its capital markets day on Thursday.
