CapMan Real Estate has acquired a portfolio of 37 residential properties comprised of 1,740 apartments in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Seller is Finnish fund manager ICECAPITAL. The portfolio, ICECAPITAL Housing Fund III was acquired on behalf of Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) which according to a press release from CapMan is the largest public pension fund group in Germany.

The transaction was made off-market. It was sourced by CapMan that now manages assets worth EUR 820 million on behalf of BVK, mostly located in HMA, Copenhagen and Aarhus.

“We’re very pleased to add this high-quality portfolio to the BVK fund and continue to see increasing interest from international investors for Nordic residential properties,” comments Sampsa Apajalahti, Investment Director at CapMan Real Estate.
